The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will hope she can be the one to save Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), who has aplastic anemia and needs a bone marrow donor.

Lily would love the chance to help Malcolm live, especially since there was nothing she could do for Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) when he died so suddenly.

This feels like a do-over of sorts for Lily since she now has the opportunity to potentially rescue her biological father from a grim fate.

However, having Lily be Malcolm’s donor match isn’t the soapiest option here.

It’s far more likely that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will be a match instead, but it may take some work to even convince him to get tested.

Holden will lash out over Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) hiding the truth about Malcolm being his bio dad for decades.

It could leave Holden wondering why he should step up for some guy he doesn’t even know, but that’s where Lily may come in.

Y&R spoilers say Lily will work to help Malcolm in the April 10 episode, so she may plead for Holden to undergo the test and see if he’s a donor match.

Lily is Holden’s half-sister biologically, so she may lean into this new family angle and hope she can make Holden see the light.

Although Lily probably won’t be the donor match that Malcolm needs, she may be the reason Holden agrees to testing.

In other words, Lily could still come through for Malcolm in a way.

Once Holden is revealed as a match, he may come around to helping Malcolm by being the bone marrow donor who keeps him alive.

Holden could be Malcolm’s hero along with Lily’s in the end.

That doesn’t mean Holden and Malcolm will form an instant bond, but it’d be a nice start!

Malcolm and Holden might share a tender moment that leaves the door open for a real father-son connection.
