The Young And The Restless spoilers reveal horrible disaster caused by Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) addiction says Joshua Morrow.
Nick has been in an emotional uproar since his addiction began an it is only getting worse.
Nick cannot get out of this addiction on his own and it is certain to lead to a disaster before he agrees to get help.
Matt Clark Is Behind Nick Newman’s Addiction
Nick’s addiction started when Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) caused an accident that damaged Nick’s leg leading to an emergency surgery.
Nick was put on pain killers but they just did not control the pain. Nick left the hospital against medical advice to try to hunt down Matt and the pain in his leg has only gotten worse.
Nick used up all of his pain killers and switched to Fentanyl. Nick has also had to find more drugs now that he is in Las Vegas where he scored a “bonus” baggie.
Nick believes he can handle this but it is quickly becoming obvious that he can’t. Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) predicted this but his family is just now figuring out what is going on.
Joshua Morrow Talks To SOD
Joshua recently did an interview with Soap Opera Digest where he discusses Nick’s addiction and reveals that something horrible is about to happen.
This is a challenging storyline and Morrow was surprised by it. However, Morrow wants to make sure to do this story right because addiction is a real life issue that affects many people.
Morrow reveals, “When you’re watching it, I was hoping people would feel something. I wanted them to see this character going on this journey and spiraling, and hopefully he’ll come out of it and maybe even be a better person.”
However, Nick has to admit that he has a problem before he can get help and he is not ready to do that.
Things Are Going To Get Worse Before They Get Better
Nick likes to play the hero and he is far from ready to ask for help. Nick doesn’t want to be the weak link who has to depend on someone else.
However, Morrow reveal that Nick is going to have a major epiphany was this story moves along. Nick will soon learn that his actions have consequences and he is not the only one who is affected by them.
Nick may hit rock bottom because something happens to someone he loves due to his addiction. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has gone to Las Vegas to help Nick.
Unfortunately, Adam may end up in trouble and Nick may not be available to help him because of his addiction.
Nick may also begin hallucinating and mistake Adam for Matt leading to Adam being injured in the end.
Will Nick get his addiction under control? Who will end up getting hurt before Nick gets this under control?
