In 1999, after two children and 10 years of dating, Anthony Anderson and Alvina Stewart tied the knot. After multiple filings and a long separation, they went their separate ways and finalized their divorce. In late 2023, Anthony was ordered to pay Alvina $20,000 per month in spousal support, with additional percentage-based payments if his income exceeds $2 million, along with attorney fees and property division. Because their children are adults, no child support was ordered.
And now, according to reports, Anthony has moved on with TV personality Roxy Diaz. But if Roxy knew what we know about Anthony, she might want to pause, blink twice, and reconsider exactly what she’s signing up for.

We’re just going to skip over the fact that it took Anthony 10 years and two children to finally marry his first wife. We’re also going to ignore how she gave up her 10-year career at NBC and devoted her entire life to raising their children and supporting Anthony’s goals.
Uh-uh. I ain’t skipping over nothing and I ain’t ignoring nothing. He can skip over here and catch this fade, okay, for messing with that girl’s life and wasting all her time.
Now what he can do with his old big head, bad body self…
Instead, we’re going to fast forward to 2003 when Anthony became the star of his own show called All About the Andersons on the WB network. He played a single father and a struggling actor, but viewers weren’t interested and the show ended after one season.
My ass
The following year, he landed the role of Key in Hustle & Flow. While filming a scene at the Shelby County Correctional Center in Memphis, the cast wrapped for the day—and things reportedly took a disturbing turn.
A woman on set later claimed that Anthony and the film’s assistant director, Wayne Witherspoon, lured her into a production trailer, took photos of her without her consent, and then allegedly committed an unthinkable act against her. Witnesses told authorities they saw her leave the trailer screaming and without her clothes.
Anthony and Wayne were taken into custody and released after posting a $20,000 bond. A rep for the actor denied the charges, stating:
“Anthony is a happily married family man who has never been accused of, no less involved in anything remotely like this. And we are confident that when all the facts come out, he will be completely exonerated.”
As for Anthony, he told The Spokesman-Review that Alvina supported him throughout the situation because they always had full trust in each other. He added:
“Everyone realized I was the innocent victim of a shakedown.”
Okay, so maybe you were the innocent victim of the crime—but were you guilty of cheating on your wife? That’s what I need to know. Break that down for us, Anthony.
While he waited for his court date, another woman came forward with new allegations.
Fix it, Black Jesus. Not again.
According to E! News, the woman filed a lawsuit in September 2004 over a non-consensual incident she alleged occurred in 2003 inside Anthony’s dressing room on the set of All About the Andersons. She demanded $900,000 in damages.
Anthony’s rep again denied the allegations, stating that the earlier accusations had made him a target for similar claims. So he was dealing with not one, but two serious legal matters at the same time.
In October 2004, he appeared in court regarding the Hustle & Flow incident. During proceedings, the woman testified to multiple encounters, which she maintained were non-consensual. However, inconsistencies in her statements led to the case being dismissed for lack of evidence.
As for the second case, details are scarce—most mentions have been scrubbed online, and it’s unclear whether it was settled or dismissed.
When asked later if the situation made him more cautious, Anthony said he had implemented measures to protect himself and his family.
But then came a controversial remark in an interview:
“Back then, we could have put her in a trunk…”
Yeah… that didn’t land well.
